"Well,we find Sun-Drown,of course,"Dawnpaw mewed matter-of-factly. Almondpaw meowed, "So we have to leave?" "We have to sneak away,"Dawnpaw confirmed. Firepaw nosed at a small tunnel that had apparently been bored into the rock a long,long time ago. "I smell something salty down this way,along with catscent." "That's what I smelled in my dream!"Oceanpaw gasped,scurrying over. "How long is the tunnel?"Almondpaw asked. "How am I supposed to know?"Firepaw snapped. "Let's just go." "Right,"Dawnpaw agreed. "There's no time to waste." The four apprentices hurried into the tunnel.They traveled for at least two days,maybe even more.Long enough to have their disappearence noticed by their Clanmates. "Are we there yet?"Firepaw mewed,tired of traveling down the long tunnel with nothing more appealing than rats to eat. "I can see sunlight,"Dawnpaw gasped. "Really?"Oceanpaw's eyes widened. "Let's go check it out!"Almondpaw hurried forward. Their paws skimmed the ground,until they burst into light. Firepaw felt the sand sinking beneath her.Lifting each forepaw,she cleaned the sand from between her claws to no effect. Oceanpaw bounded forward,seeing a brown tabby sitting on the shore. "Hey!"she called. "What's your name?" Whiskers twitching,he turned around,revealing blue eyes. "I am Sun-Drown."
