Marine animals that are usually not associated with the seafood industry, such as turtles and dolphins, are frequently accidentally caught and dead as bycatch. - China has high demand for totoaba bladder, which causes illegal fishing in the Gulf of California, causing the vaquitas to die as bycatch. - the WWF is working closely with the U.S., Mexico and China to save the vaquitas.
