This animation explores the colour effect numbers in Scratch code. It also demonstrates the use of VARIABLES and shows how to create rows and columns using an OUTER and a NESTED LOOP. There is an example of a CONDITIONAL LOOP. Colour in Scratch can be quite mysterious and this animation is designed as a means of exploring the colour-producing features of the software. If you want another animation to explore Scratch colours take a look at my earlier resource 'Investigate Colour' where you click the stage to change a colour wheel. When each click changes the color effect by 10, it takes 20 clicks to complete the Scratch colour spectrum. This tells us that there are 200 possible colour effects in Scratch. It's possible to get many more shades of colour depending on the original colour of the coded sprite.
