Backstory (because why not): Cookie, a black house cat, has two parents. His dad is dead and he lost his mother - but by that, I don't mean dead. No. She's still out there, trying to find her son... to 'get rid' of the 'evidence' of a relationship between another male to have Cookie, a black-pelted cat with no ties in his father's or mother's family to black cats. He is mistreated for being a half-kitten with no parents in sight. Because he had no parents guarding him, a cat stole him as a kitten and put him into the rough, tough poor neighbourhood. Cats with scars, claws sheathed, waiting for their next victim. Cookie is freaking out on the inside, trying to decide which of his parents to trust. Coffee starts visiting him and acting all innocent, while Rowan visits him in his dreams and tells him all about his mother's 'adventures'. So, Cookie has to make a choice - Good but strict father or Bad but nice mother?
