★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Hi everyone! Here are some photos which I decided I wanted to share after seeing @laymonade's photography project. Next up I'll be making another art dump, but I decided to make this project first. The photos in here are all taken by me, but I didn't grow any of the plants you will see. None are from my own yard - but they are from plants and other things in the neigbourhood and beyond. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - - -♥ I n s t r u c t i o n s : • Just click the green flag-shaped potato twice to start • Wait for my intro to disappear • Click the space / arrow keys to navigate • Hover near the bottom of the screen to see the name of the photograph, and hover away again to hide the banner ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - - -♥ N o t e s & C r e d i t s : • Songs (randomised): "Honeymoon" by Neovaii Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1zJPAy_7ERM "Wonderland" by Neovaii Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmBjXI-Idps • All photos and (minimal) coding by me • Inspired to share my work after seeing @laymonade's photography project. It's really good, so check it out if you haven't already! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/255989116/ • I hope you enjoy! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ - - -♥ L i s t o f P i e c e s : • 1 - "Vintage Sports" This is just a picture of a tennis court thingy near my house. Uhhh, idk much about sports, haha. I *was* going to call it "Summer Sports" or maybe "Vintage Summer" or "Dreary Summer" but then I realised this wasn't even taken in summer. So yeeee. This DEFINITELY has a filter on it, btw xD • 2 - "Fairy's-Eye View" This is a picture of a large hedge from quite an interesting perspective - hence the name. I love this house; it's so fancy. • 3 - "Back to the Books" This is a picture of a weird seedpod thingy on a book my mum was reading. To be honest, this book is about Elvis or something, and not plants at all. Idk, I wasn't reading it. Just to clear things up, this seedpod isn't called an "Elvis" xD (UNfun fact: my mum thought *she* was the one who took this photo. To be fair, she was the one who put the seed there and took some photos, but I took this one myself on my phone xD) • 4 - "Midnight Drive" This is a picture of the inside of my mum's car. Okay, so it wasn't midnight when I took this, but it sounds a lot more atmospheric than "8:32 PM Drive" - which is actually when I took this. It says so on my phone xD • 5 - "Tendril Touch" Is it just me, or is "tendril" a really superb word? I actually used to have a pet paintbrush with fake eyes stuck on it when I was about eight years old, and I called it "Tendril" even though it had nothing to do with tendrils. Anyway, I digress. These are the blossoms of the white cedar just inside our yard, I believe. This was taken at night in b&w with the flash. Try it sometime. You will not regret the effect xD • 6 - "Bent" My fingers are bent and scratching against the outside of this old closet. It makes for a really creepy effect. Oof, my hands are so unaesthetic. • 7 - "Floral Comrades" This shot was taken on a walk at night with the help of my mum. I believe, instead of my phone's flash, she held a torch out to light up these flower friends. • 8 - "Cedar Abyss" *cough* Please excuse me for the mock-edgy name of this photo. You can see here, that the same plant from "Tendril Touch" has been used again here. Only this time, the actual cedar berries themselves are in the photo too. • 9 - "Hello, Beautiful" Hey, don't worry! I wasn't talking to you, I was talking to the rose. Wait- which one of those makes me sound *less* weird? Oof, just go for the one that makes me sound weirder xD • 10 - "After Rain" This was taken in a lane after the rain. That rhymes xD • 11 - "Yellow Belle" *when you write an e at the end just to make it sound more fancy or something* • 12 - "Heaven in Confinement" I myself don't have a religion, but instead, I believe anyone has the right to believe in whatever they want, as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. Absolutely nobody should be deprived of their right to believe. At the same time, beliefs also should not be forced on anyone. For me, the clouds in this photograph symbolise any sort of "heaven" from any religion. And the mesh over the window, over "heaven" symbolises people who are trying to stop others from believing in what they want, and suppressing them. Of course, like any art, this is open to interpretation. If you have any thoughts, feel free to tell me in the comments. • 13 - "Cracks in Reality" Like my grandma, I'm also quite interested in shadows. To me, the shadow of this fence looks like stars holding hands. What about you? • 14 - "Promising Petals" And to finish up this project, a nice picture of some spring roses with light shining through their petals. The light is hope. We all need a little bit of hope to keep us going. ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
