FEATURED: Many thanks to jvvg for curating this project! (19/6/13) UPDATE: The orange bar at the bottom of the screen now gives a graphical representation of your score, as requested by ThePittsStop! UPDATE: I added a couple of new notifications when you reach certain score milestones - can you view them all? Avoid the squares, collect the health powerups and prove your endurance - how long can you last? Now with high scores for added competition - check the cloud data log for the leading players! This is probably my best project yet - the core engine was made last year, but I have been adding features every now and then. All of these changes are detailed in the changelog below. Thanks for playing! -------------------------------------CHANGELOG------------------------------------ 12/6/13: Tweaked a problem with the high score algorithm - it didn't shift the highscores below you down a notch when you beat a highscore. That explains the further mess in the cloud data log! 28/5/13: The frequency of health powerups now decreases slightly as the game progresses to prevent skilled players from lasting forever. I have also deleted the cloud variables that monitored the number of people who played through to the end because it was cluttering up the cloud data log - now only high scoring users will have their names posted there for posterity! 22/5/13: I have added a health bar along the top for those of you who enjoy watching your gradual demise. Also, the damage system has been revamped so you take damage proportionate to the amount of time you spend touching a square. This should be fairer, but it has no real effect on the balance of the game (I tested it a few times). Finally, you can now get highscores that are stored as cloud variables - go mad, people! When text can be stored in cloud variables I will make the game record your username too - you need your bragging rights! A leaderboard will be implemented when cloud lists become available. 21/5/13: The most notable change is that you are now rewarded for moving about in the form of an increased score. Other minor changes include a buffed health powerup, extra notifications for the health powerup & Squaremageddon, a static sound that is played to indicate that you are taking damage and the number ticking up from zero to your score on the game over screen. 20/5/13: The Squaremageddon is now implemented. I will leave you to find out what that does. The health boost now heals more, squares damage less and the difficulty curve is slightly lower. 19/5/13: I have added health bonuses so you can play the game for a little longer than normal. I also added smaller squares that rapidly spawn around the map during the game. (It only took about 20 minutes of revision breaks to do it!) 17/5/13: I have updated the spawning of the squares to make the game a bit easier. The square that follows you was designed to keep you moving, but now it waits a little longer before appearing so you can get out of the way in time. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
