The speed and rotation of the spinning pinwheel depends on the location of the small periwinkle circle. Click and hold on the background to make the small circle move toward the cursor, and watch the pinwheel spin ! :D
I was going to make a kaleidoscope thing, but once I started experimenting with rotating clones, it looked and moved more like a pinwheel :) Also I've been thinking for a while about having variables dependent on a shape that moves in relationship to the cursor, without directly being the cursor location. This was the first experiment with that. I was originally thinkinf of having the guiding-shape be invisible, but it's neat to see its position. Either way, I think this method could be cool for navigating a parallax in a cinematic way! :D
