Even though I doubt this will work online, I wanted to share it anyway. This shows that you can have an unlimited number of sprite instances, with a duplicate code, and they only start to REALLY lag around 30 or so. I sped up the process massively by using one particular method. It wont really start lagging at all till 11 or so. Enjoy! Just a sample. More instances spawn every 5 seconds. WORKS ONLINE!!! WOOT!!!! The lag is not Scratch being overloaded, it is the inability to update the screen as fast as it has to. Massive script alert!
