ey there i think i got permission to use httyd book chars as well so here we go CHARActers (i know its not undertale but i couldn't resist also these OCs are really old so just bear with me on the names and if you can think of anything better then go ahead) Fang: Hellsteether Darkwing: Windwalker Serpi: Deadly Nadder Venom: Speed Stinger Shadow: Skrill Stormbreaker: Night Fury Okay. So I guess this could be a vent... i know this might be an unpopular opinion... but... (um warninng: the stuff said below may anger you or go against your opinons. these are my opinions, you can have yours and i am NOT insulting the people who like the movies better or who haven't even read the books. i'm not even saying the movies are bad. so um feel free to engage in a debate in the comments if you absolutley need to but, remember to be nice, okay..?) ... the movies COMPLETLEY RUINED THE BOOKS. I mean, sure, they're not BAD stories. But it's just like they took the names and the concept of vikings and dragons and left it at that. If i was Cressida Cowell, I would be pretty mad. (i mean, she isn't but we're talking about me XD) Just as a long-time HTTYD BOOK fan, I'm pretty mad. I know there's nothing I can do. I know there's nothing anyone can do. But I don't know, I just wish... That they had a movie that was true to the books in the first place. I'm not gonna lie. I saw the movies first. But still, once I read the books, I realized, to me at least, that they were a lot better. I think if new, true-to-the-book movies were made... People would like them a lot more. Lets be honest here. The books have a much better storyline and character development. Everyone is more realistic, and even the villains have their faults. Not to mention the incredible backstories and lore of that world. Alvin. The perfect villain. He comes back. He has a clear motive. He even inadvertently strengthens bonds between characters All of the complicated character families. To just... throw that all away? Fabricate a completely different story? Introduce completely new villains without even developing their character that much? I don't see the benefit. And also, come on. The number of new dragons and name ripoffs of the originals are getting ridiculous. I liked School Of Dragons... Until all of the questionably canon dragons started coming in and the little adventures started to collide with the rest of the franchise. Plus, why don't all of the vikings have accents??! Hiccup doesn't need a love interest. Only Fishlegs gets crushes. Toothless is small, green, and has always had a crush on Stormfly. Whatever this "Light Fury" nonsense is, I don't like it. Sounds like a cheap trick. WHAT IN THE WORLD DID THEY DO TO FISHLEGS. Camicazi is a much better character than Astrid. Maybe I'm overreacting. Maybe I should just accept that the movies will always thrust the books into shadow. But... ...one can hope, right...? I don't know. Uh. also im feeling kinda weird so uh well i guess that explains why i made the book dragons and the movie dragons fighting. welp see you later oh man i really love what i chose for the thumbnail too bad that frame only spends 0.05 seconds onscreen. or 5/100ths whichever you prefer
