The small one is Redpaw and the big one is his father. His father is making Redpaw his successor as a "strong and loyal warrior" he actually just wants to be leader. He kills cats and he wants Redpaw to follow in his pawsteps. Redpaw's brother, Shiningpaw was weaker than him.
