Description

Sweetest scene in the World of Light trailer right here And this is why Sonic is a hero... Credits: -Super Smash Bros. Ultimate for the original scene -Sega for Sonic The Hedgehog and Nintendo for Pikachu -Music is Fist Bump (Piano Version) from Sonic Forces -Art by me :D Process (press space bar to go through the slides for it): 1) The original scene from the World of Light trailer (which is amazing btw). Sonic could've outrun the laser, but he slowed down to save Pikachu...this is why Sonic is a hero, folks. 2) I traced Sonic and Pikachu with different shapes. I made the color of each shape different to help me recognize each individual part. 3) The photo is removed, so now only the outline's left. 4) The only problem is that the photo doesn't show the top of Sonic's head, so it cuts off as shown. So, I went online to find a photo of Sonic that has his whole head. 5) With this Sonic photo (it's actually his pose for Super Smash Bros. Ultimate :P), I complete the rest of the outline of Sonic's head. 6) The Sonic photo is removed, so now just the outline is left again. You can see now that everything looks good, so now we can begin coloring. 7) The colored version of the outline. For the colors, I referenced the original photo and grabbed colors from it. I also used gradients a lot to give it a sort of shading effect. 8) I doodle a simple background to go with it, and we're done! Also, don't take this as proof that I'm gonna be active again, I did this project in like two hours during a random motivation streak :P. Let me know what you think in the comments! :D This is definitely an improvement over my last time trying to "doodle" Sonic: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/71943786/ Also thanks to @Mystix- and @HaonDK for pointing out that I forgot Sonic's nose, I added it in XDDDD
