I'm planning on doing a comic about this group and I wanted to get this out there before I made the comic to tell you guys some of the basics of the story and characters. Who are they? They are a small group who wield 'influence' and protect a valley. Influence? Yes, in their world, about 1 in 3,000 people have an influence, and influence is the ability to influence the emotions of people around them and to some extent are able to sense emotions better than most. However, your influence is set, it cannot change, meaning you can only influence people to feel one certain emotion when around you. How is this useful? People who inspire loyalty or bravery are often military leaders, people who inspire peace are often negotiators. They are also able to sense a darkness that looms over the land like most people can't. This is a fantasy world where some monsters exist, and influences can often pick up on their negative emotions when around, so they can often act as guards. These people are meant to be heard, not seen. The people often don't like the idea of someone messing with their emotions, even if it's more the best, so they are kept out of public eye and given jobs in the medical field or as guardians depending on which best suits their trait. Sometimes as negotiators, but they will often be killed if found out as an influencer. If you have any questions or thoughts about the characters feel free to comment! Character relationships and ranks: Chain of command. Willa>Libby>Romy>Oz>Silas Willa is the boss and has been in the group the longest. Libby is Oz's Grandmother and has known Willa for quite a while. Silas is new, so he doesn't really know anyone, but he's seen Romy around. Romy is the first person from the gang he ever met, they ran into each other at a bar and has an ongoing rivalry ever since. This rivalry is purely one-sided Romey's part but she doesn't care. Oz and Romy are best buds and have a sibling dynamic going on. Character-wise, Silas isn't new but sssh, we won't focus on that right now.
