"Portal" - a piece of original art by @Scratch-Minion ** Looks best in full screen! ** I added the Dr Who Theme excerpt as it just seemed appropriate.

Description

See also Portal 2: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/259623812/ Op Art Studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5371627/ Op Art Challenge: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/245947702/ The Doctor Who theme music is a piece of music written by Australian composer Ron Grainer and realised by Delia Derbyshire at the BBC Radiophonic Workshop. Created in 1963, it was one of the first electronic music signature tunes for television. It is used as the theme for the science fiction program Doctor Who, and has been adapted and covered many times. (Wikipedia) The Design --------------- 6 square grids are used for the 6 sides of a cube. The grids are warped into hemispheres. Transparent colours are used for the hemisphere bulges. The cube is then rotated in 3D. A perspective projection with a closeup "camera" is used to give the Fisheye effect. "Op Art Starter 4" https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/248797766/ contains code that creates a grid, warps it, then colours the squares to produce a design. See how the code works in that project. "Op Art Starter 5" https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/248283567/ distorts the grid into a 3D Hemisphere. Theory about 3D Rotation, ARGB colour (including transparent colour) and Perspective Projection is in the projects in my 3D Tutorials Studio: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5040029/
