Description

Heyo, people! Click that flag to get started! NEW GAME! Play Shift by clicking the link below! https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/284426122/ There is nothing other than that you NEED to do, but here's some helpful information for all ye nerds. Q. Is there anything I can do other than sit and watch? A. Try pressing space, "S", and entering a famous game code... Q. So, WHAT EVEN IS THIS??? A. Well, I'm glad you asked. This project is a Path Finder A.I. Q. -_- A. XD Ok then, basically the aim for the cars is to get to the finish line on the other side of the screen by pressing random combinations of "Up", "Left", and "Right", and then they keep what gets them the furthest and work off that. Q. What does the "Generation" and "MAX DISTANCE" mean? A. The "MAX DISTANCE" is the furthest from the left in pixels any car has gotten since you clicked the flag. A "Generation" is a batch of cars, so the number is what batch it is currently. Q. Do they know where the "Grass" is? A. No they don't. The only thing they do know is... well pretty much nothing actually. Q. If they don't know anything, then how do they get to the other side??? A. I will now go into more detail about how it works. There are 40 cars which each do random combinations of "Up", "Left", and "Right" as you should know by now. There are two types of cars after the first "Generation" Scout cars (yellow) and Follower cars (blue). The scout cars follow a random path right from the start and continues to do the whole time. The follower cars take some of the best attempts at finishing, and follow those paths until a certain point and then go randomly from there in the hope the will get further than their predecessors.' Any questions I didn't cover please leave in the comments :) Thanks to Vexento for all the Music :D #games #sim #ai
