We started talking about satire in English class, and the first slide our teacher had on the board said something about a fairy tale about a "loveable ogre". Somebody yelled out "SHREK!!" And I starting singing The song. You know. THE song. You all know the one. "SomeBODY--" and everyone else joined in after the first word. A classroom full of 15 8th graders (yeah, we have a small class) Singing in perfect harmony "Once told me the world is gonna roll me. I ain't the sharpest tool in the she-ed" We got through, like, the entire first verse. ------------------------------------------------------------------ We watched a clip from Shrek, too. The scene where Fiona beats up all those dudes, and my friend Landon says "She's a frikken ninja!"
