Instructions

Press space to see different stages of the drawing as I progress. Up arrow to see the pic I'm referencing (all freehand, not traced!) You can press a to decrease the opacity (and b to bring it back up again) to compare the two pictures better. Press the down arrow to hide the reference picture. FINISHED! Added background. (You can't tell unless you're looking for it, but I used the leaf brush :D) Wip 10: Finished shading and texturing on Anna's clothes. Wip 9: Finished blocking in color on Anna's clothes. Also added that cute little blond streak in her braid :) Wip 8: Finished texture on Elsa's dress. (It involved a lot of copying and pasting sequins.) Wip 7: Finished Elsa's hair and neck. Wip 6: Finished Anna's hair. I nearly always do hair in four layers: the texture (read: stringy tablet pen strokes) for the layer of hair that goes in front of the face and ears, a sort of undertone for that that gives it a more polished look, the stringy hair for behind the ears and face, and an undertone for that. (Pft I explain it badly--maybe I'll do a tutorial sometime.) Anna's hair in the previous stage and Elsa's hair here only have the first layer done. Anna's hair here has all of them. Wip 5: Tweaked shading on Elsa's face. Finished Anna's face and started on her hair. Wip 4: Woah big update! Finished up Elsa's face. Wip 3: started blocking in Anna's colors and started on Elsa's hair Wip 2: started blocking in Elsa's colors (it's at 70% opacity which is why you can still see the sketch through it) Wip 1: sketch

Description

Yay! I drew them! And it's finally finished! Mostly, this is in preparation for a lot of Frozen art I'm planning on making. These drawings will feature alongside a series of piano covers I'm planning--but not just regular piano covers! Instead, I'm writing 4 hands piano duets based on all the Frozen songs (except for Reindeers Are Better than People, which would pretty much just be chords. Bo-ring.) Yes, I am really doing this. It's not as hard as you think because I have the official arrangements for piano solo and piano accompaniment, so I'm basically just putting them together and adding my own personal touch. Writing and recording them is so cool, and I can't wait for you guys to hear them! (I'll be posting the sheet music online as well.) The music is First Time in Forever (Reprise), the first song I'm transcribing and basically the entire reason I'm doing this.
