Description

Just me rambling on about my frustration with this constant dillusion. Or maybe im the one with the problem, lol, who knows 17 years old and still spelling the word thief wrong. ;_; go me APPENDIX: You don't need to ask "Is this okay?" I'm not someone who judges whats exceptable or not ;_; Its up to your personal discretion The old FAQ I quoted once or twice here I now realize wasn't meant to apply to the creative commons share alike license, but only to outside sources. I forgot to hit on the point that emotional power is part of the appeal of art and when something emotional is remade a dozen times without meaningful changes they become watered down and lose this emotional power. CCs, Free line art: I think that because both of these are meant for coloring and don't really apply to what I said about recolors. I would still preferably draw my own to color, but that's just me. Hard referencing photos: I think hard referencing a realistic photograph is 100% okay as long as it wasn't a creative photo, like combing two different photos, or its surreal, or anything like that. I mean you're converting real life into a picture, not a picture into a picture and I think that's why it's exempt from my opinion on hard referencing typically. Memes/Add yourself doing "so and so": I believe that due to the nature of memes, meaning they are supposed to be spread that hard referencing is legitimate, since they are all supposed to be one unified unit, I have started crediting the orginal meme if I can find it and who ever I referenced to create my own. Fan art: I almost always require a reference when I draw fan art, but that's only to keep a character looking accurate. I believe that as long your just using the reference the way it was intended, and not re drawing the image from the reference its good
