Outside of Scratch, I've been doing some scientific research. One of the topics I've been researching is the effect of surfactants on hydrate formation. Here's a Scratch project explaining a [very] small part of that research. ========== Sorry for the very small text. I wanted to use both big text and big diagrams, but Scratch's stage is so small! So you get big diagrams with small text. -> To the kids: Guys, I've tried to make this as easy to understand as possible. Some important words are in ALL CAPS. If you're having trouble understanding something, tell me and I'll see if I can make it easier to understand. -> To the adult scientists passing by: Most Scratchers are younger users, this project is geared towards younger kids who only have a fairly basic understanding of math and science concepts. Please understand that a lot of things have been taken out, and some science/engineering vocabulary has been avoided for simplicity. ========== Sources: - Images: Unless otherwise indicated, images were drawn by me. Use the peer-reviewed sources I listed instead; all information can be found in the sources in the bottom right corner. Or better yet, read the thesis paper I wrote about hydrate formation: http://academicworks.cuny.edu/cc_etds_theses/86/
