Votes: 1 1/2 In the past, long before there were two legs, a cat with extreme power ruled over all. Every once In a while, a problem would arise and Skyler would turn to his advisor, shade. Shade would give prophecies to help the 'king' solve problems. After the king passed away, his son, Jayde, became the ruler. He believed that Shade's prophecies were all lies, so Jayde expelled Shade from the royal family. Shade, with no place to live, found shelter in the nearby forest. There had been a rumor that there was a type of magic that protected the forest. Shade believed that he could pass the walls, and he managed to do that. The next day when he woke up, a stream of cats were all around him. They told him that there were stones coming out from his paws, that were warm despite the bitter cold winter that was going on. They had his scent on them and had the faint shape of a cat that looked like him. Immediately, Shade saw a vision: That this community of cats had the power to change the face of the earth. Shade then became the first Shadow, named after him and the slightly shimmered shadows they left with their power. Soon the group of cats became a community, and the cats that had told Shade about the rocks from his paws had sons and daughters, and even more sons and daughters from that. Shade then was very old, and before he passed away, he gave them this prophecy, the last that he would give: before the community would disappear forever, fire and ice would save them all. Then Shade became the first Shadow Watcher, the only one who could pass on prophecies. Soon Misteria, the ice power, joined him, then Tamber, the earth power, and then more cats joined them, with the same prophetic powers. Amidst the healthy group that had formed, they found something that terrible far in the future: that a fire coming from their own paws would destroy them. The remaining cats would be destroyed in a dust storm. The only ones left, two cats named Safire and Azura, would be the only Shadows left to spread the community again, and to save the world, coming from Shade's own family, his mate, Oakivia, their son, Ashar, and his mate, Whirleni, and their son, Stoneren, and his mate, Leafana. They also saw that there would be the spirit of a cat named Talia that would guide them, and their non-Shadow sister, Emmareld, would protect them. Seeing this was not enough, the Watchers passed on the spirits of themselves back on Earth, to create Amber, Mina, Jadestone, and Lien.

During his reign, many problems arose, some with the world at stake, and Skyler would turn to his adviser, Shade. Shade would come with prophecies to help solve problems. When Skyler passed away, his son, Jayde, became he ruler. Jayde believed that Shade's prophecies were all lies so he expelled Shade from the royal family'd territory. Jayde's sister, Oakivia, was fascinated by Shade and his prophecies, so against her brother's protests, she followed Shade. Shade found shelter in a small cave and dreamed of a time when cats like himself would roam the Earth. No matter where he went, Oakivia followed as he roamed in dreams to pass prophecies. Eventually, Oakivia and Shade mated, giving birth to 3 kits. 2 young she-cats died at birth but the strong male, named Ashar survived. Ever since then, Shadow Cats have dutifully passed on prophecies.
