Ok, lets start from the beginning. I have had Hedgy for about 5 years. As she grew older she developed a disease called Wobbly Hedgehog Syndrome (WHS) which means it EXTREMELY hard for her to move her back legs, so she just dragged them around behind her. It was awful to see this way but we just had to try to make it better. Unfortunately, Hedgy couldn't get to her food dish and water dish and she also couldn't go to the bathroom which must have been horribly painful. The only thing we could do to help was only feed her through a small tube for medicine and give her water through it to. The poor Hedgy suffered for about a week only until... The day came. I had just finished giving her massages and put her down in her blanket because my sister, Paige, wanted to snuggle with her. My mom went to the store and left us in the house. Paige and I played minecraft on the PS3, but thats when it happened. Paige bumped Hedgy a tiny bit by accident, but Hedgy didn't spike up. She turned to look at Hedgy and she wasn't moving. Paige began to cry as she broke the news to me. Soon enough we were bawling our eyes out and I was holding Hedgy and begging that she would wake up. It didn't work. When my mom and dad came home we had a little funeral and gave speeches. It was the WORST day of my life. But thats when I realized how short, and how precious life is. BTW: There is no cure for WHS Hedgy is a female African Pygmy Hedgehog. The girl in the glasses is me and the other person is my sister.
