Mason was a good kid. He went to school, did his homework. He liked poetry. He had a crush on Ocean, the quiet girl with the white earbuds. Everything was fine. But one day, Ocean didn't come to school. That day wasn't a good day, he was picked on by some bullies. It made him sad. She came to school the next day, and he had an ok day. But he was bullied a lot more when Ocean wasn't around. But then he was the only one who was picked on, since the strange disappearance of his love Ocean. He became more depressed, more sad, started to do things even he didn't like. He felt like no one cared, no one bothered, everyone judges. But then one fateful day, while Mason was in his room listening to music, some sort of black portal formed, and he was freaked out. A monster with two differently colored eyes stepped out, and talked to Mason. Minus stepped into the portal with Glitch, and darkness was all around him. Glitch told him to sit, so Minus did. "Slowly breathe in, and out." "Is this a yoga session?" "Shut up. Now, think of something that annoys you, enrages you, angers you." Minus thought about Ocean. He thought about the bullies that bullied Ocean, that bullied him instead. Ocean wasn't here for that, wasn't here for him. Ocean didn't care, did she? She skipped school just so I can be miserable, didn't she? Minus's face started to seethe with rage. She NEVER cared, did she. She was the one, the one to ruin his perfect life, his peaceful, normal life. Minus started to choke, slowly he could not breathe. Rage oozed out of every pore, cloaking him in black, in darkness. He felt dizzy, dying. He reached for his neck to find it was not there, and tried to scream. Nothing came out. He tried to talk, to see, but he couldn't. The truth hit him hard; he was going to die. You lied to me!, he thought. "I did. But only because no one would care if you left. I needed an apprentice, an evil henchman." "Die, and the darkness will take your body." The last thing Mason thought was, "It was all her fault."
Monster talking to Mason: "I heard no one cares" "Tell me something I don't know, jerk." "Ok, that I'm here with a position." "For a 13-year old? I highly doubt." "It's for the underdog. The abused." "How do you know about them?!" It doesn't matter. I can't be here for much longer." "So what are the perks?" "You get to rule the world. To crush your enemies. To devour the weak." "Who are you?" "I'm.. Glitch. What shall be your new name, Mason? Mason is a dumb name." "Well..." Mason thought about it for a moment. What was something everyone hated, but won out in the end? "What is your name?" Math, that's what. But math just wouldn't be a cool name.. "Are you coming or not?!" "It's.. It's Minus."
