Arrow keys: Move Mouse: Hold button and move around to look around your character. If you go too far down (to y=-20 or below), you'll be teleported back to the spawn point. This project has its own guide/forum: http://scratch.mit.edu/discuss/topic/37982/
A space-themed Platformer/RPG I'm slowly putting together. It's still Pre-Alpha (as said in the title), so please tell me of any gooey little bugs you find so I can squish them :) Currently on hiatus... The credits, planned features, and changelog are down there. | \ / Credits: The level generator used this project as a base: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/23134940/ Music is from various Ratchet and Clank games. Features: -The smoothest and most dynamic look-around scrolling I have ever seen. (Made 100% by me! Woot! :D ) -A much more detailed character and level. To Do: -More textures/animations. -Sound effects for sure! -More Sophisticated Level Design. -Enemies and Items. -Pause Menu and Stuff. -Improved movement mechanics and player abilities. -Other Stuff. -Move all of this stuff into the project. Keeps things tidy around here, you see. Unconfirmed NEI Features: -Self made soundtrack. -Level Editor. -Saving your progress. This will be a VERY LONG game, after all! Notes: -In general, very-low-gravity areas will be... uncommon. When I've put together the movement scripts for higher levels of gravity, most test levels will be around there. - Changelog: 1.1.9c: Showed up yet again to adjust a couple things. 1.1.9b: Minor things. 1.1.9a: After a long hiatus, I decided to pop by long enough to design the command interface and some future loot, like Bits and Azure Lockstones (You need them and their counterparts to enter certain areas.) Neither are in the game yet, though, to stay tuned! 1.1.9: First experiments with placing predesigned chunks of tiles at a time. When I put this together, It will be that much easier for me to create my levels! 1.1.8: More inside stuff. 1.1.7: Fine tuned the first star layer to make it in line with the other two. There's a new track in the mix too. 1.1.6: A little bit of inside work. I'm just laying down the foundations, there isn't anything truly new yet. 1.1.5: Thinned down and decorated the screen border. The lights change color if your health is low enough, but that part of it matters not since there is no way to lose health or Nova yet.... -1.1.4: I've laid down the foundations for two very powerful new features. It's not online just yet, but I've completed a couple important steps. -1.1.3: One LAST layer of stars. A lot brighter out here, no? But we still have a lot of background left to cover! I also added another piece of music. -1.1.2: another flying animation. Shows when flying down but not left or right. -1.1.1: Randomly starts with either the first track or the second. After that, it alternates. -1.1.0: Another layer of stars, two suns, and made Metrixcat's Space Castle farther. It no longer scrolls on the X-axis, but it will still scroll on the Y-axis. The background looks pretty good now, doesn't it? Could use some asteroids and stuff though... -1.0.4: Removed the clumps of caution blocks and made the floor of the level made solely of tile 5. -1.0.3: Added part of the in-game HUD. It's unfinished and still has no purpose, but yeah. In addition, I've put in another music track and the tile variation thing is now truly random and thus variants are well scattered rather than grouped into columns like they were before. -1.0.2: Added a little safety feature that prevents you from flying too far away from the level. -1.0.1: A couple new tiles, better vertical movement, a new animation that plays when moving up but not left or right at the same time. -1.0.0: Initial Release.
