Oh my gosh....I was looking through my old files a while back (before vacation, but I was busy) and im like "Oh my gosh, I HAVE to upload this." I didn't know that I could be more terrible at art. buuuut... XD So the reason I uploaded this: an excuse to rant about the history of Digimon Explorers (I don't mean history that the characters know, I mean rl history - like the version of SpongeBob's history where he was originally called Spongeboy, not the one where all the houses and appliances sang XD) Pre-this history: Digimon Explorers, in fact, had nothing to do with Digimon originally. I was trying to make some original stories (so I could make money off of writing without being sued, hahaha, oh well, at least writing is just a fallback career for me, I really wanna be a game designer) so I thought of a story where well...ok. In this strange world, its filled with talking dinosaurs, but while they look like dinosaurs, they aren't NEARLY as big (raptors are all only like 4 ft, and the biggest dinosaurs are only 20 ft). In this world, theres a Microrapter named....well, I either forgot his name or never managed to give him one. (He looked something like the bird character in the drawing over there <--). Anywho, a human gets sucked into that world (that seems to be a recurring idea in my stories, I suppose I really like and overuse the idea) and turns into this prehistoric rodent (the rodent is grey, fat, and looks like a striped opossum XD). However, unlike most of the stories like this, the story isn't about the human - while he is in pretty much every chapter/episode/whatever, he's not the MAIN character, just a major one (kinda like Greystripe in the original series). There is another guy who ends up joining them - he's a....wait *looks it up* he's a Deicus called Nychy or something (due to the fact that the species is called "Nychus" on Fossil Fighters). Nychy is the only character of this that gets a direct, obvious remake - he is basically recolored into Velomon (who wont appear until like the second part of episode 2). Both characters are cowardly despite the fact they should be strong and fast and fierce. The only real thing that got carried over from this series was the plot (clashing with an evil dude who wants to conquer the world, and uh...I cant spoil the rest, nhhh ;^;), Velomon's character (his design was pre-made; he's based on the baby version of Velo in Dino Paradise, WHICH NO LONGER WORKS *flips table* I NEVER GOT MY PINK LIZARDON D8 but he was also originally made for another Digimon story with the same "human wakes up as another creature" plot that was scraped after like two lazy pages), and Tyrantmon (Tyrantmon...well im not gonna say anything about him except he and the guy he was based on are both t-rexes and they're both pawns of the big evil guy. They're not bright but they're short tempered and tough) With the addition of this drawing (which was done while I was in the "Pikachu-eye faze" - all my drawings had THESE SAME EYES) I remember that in the world this picture takes place in, its a place where these creatures and these creatures alone live (sound familiar?). I also remember the little white dragon being from the human world. But I mean, come on. A white and blue fluffy dragon, a bird, and a little rodent-like guy. ITS THE SPITTING IMAGE OF DIGIMON EXPLORERS XD (actually, I think the bird was a guy, just like the Microraptor, but oh well, times were simpler back then and I didn't care about color, gender, or personality variation XD) I dunno who the big blue dragon is. I think he might've been some sorta "legendary protector" like Dialga or Azulongmon, and was seen by few and was supposed to be REALLY strong, buuut... Yay I ranted. I feel accomplished. Now I'm gonna try to draw something that actually looks good (and fail) and color it in Photoshop (and make it look worse) and then upload it here (and show you the poop I've created). Hopefully I'll do this, anyway... Im too lazy to animate anything, even the "How was your vacation?" animation (which, btw, is basically everything that happened on my vacation - minus the serious points where my mom fell and I realized I left my Tokomon Plushie on the cruise ship) even if animating poopy drawings is easier then trying to accomplish a good drawing.
That little dragon is cute. I wanna make a plushie of it (which reminds me, I need to get fabric for my Fuzzdramon plushy's tail and remake my Porygon2's head) I haven't gotten any better at drawing birds (or walking heads)
