Instructions

Yes. I know the tempo is not exactly the same as a real tempo, because it's sometimes faster or slower. I am completely aware of this. I could not find a way to fix it. Click on the grid spaces to place notes. Press and hold "E" to enter erase mode. In erase mode, any notes you hover over will be removed. Press space to play your beat. Press and hold space while it's playing to stop playing your beat. Press the "Up Arrow Key" to raise the tempo and "Down Arrow Key" to lower the tempo. Press "L" to toggle loop. Press "M" to toggle the metronome. Press "T" to toggle the finish point (the point where the blue bar goes back to the beginning of the grid). Press and hold "F" to make the finish point follow your mouse to another column. To save a beat as a file, click "See inside", go into the "sounds" tab (it doesn't matter which sprite) and set the microphone volume to the maximum. Then start playing your song and press the record button (the little circle) and record it until your song either finishes or loops. Then stop the recording by pressing space, and then edit the recording so that it starts and ends at the right point. Then all you have to do is right click the recording, click "save to local file", give your beat a name, and click "save".

Description

PLEASE READ ALL THE INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE PLAYING THIS FOR THE FIRST TIME. This is based off one of Garageband's modes in which you make a beat in a UI similar to the grid in this project.
