Length: 3min 39sec ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Piano and blockshade by @potatobear616 Title font from fontmeme.com ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ In the end my hands got SOOO shaky and I was just freaking out so sorry about that CX I also got faster (due to chronic nervousness XD)(no, that is not a disease) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Before you ask: The guy in the blockshade is Christian Bale, the actor of the main character in the movie that the song is from (read below). ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I recently watched the movie Newsies - a film from 1992 that my mom and her siblings had been obsessed with when they were younger - and I fell in love with it too. It's about a group of newsboys who go on strike, and there's a lot of dancing and singing in it too. Right after we finished watching it, every member of the family fought over the piano hoping to impress the others and play our favorite song in it - Carrying the Banner. Even I got frustrated and started shouting about it and no one even cared to move (I didn't even get to try until the next day). Then, of course, the most motivated piano player in the family (me) finally got the chance to get on the piano and learn the song. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ This is the longest piano piece I've ever learned (and memorized), so it took me absolutely FOREVER to learn it all, practice it, memorize it, make 1,000,000 mistakes, fix them, perfect it (almost), and then finally gather up enough courage to record it and share it on Scratch. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I don't even use sheet music, so I additionally spent around 2 hours finding a few piano videos, studying them very carefully, then trying to play it and failing. The very first part and every time it appears again in the piece is played with only one hand, so that also took me forever... ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ However, I'm really really REALLY surprised how few mistakes I made in this recording, it's probably the best I've ever played the piece! The mistakes I corrected while recording I fixed in the Scratch sound tab, but the other ones I couldn't fix. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The blockshade is the second one I've ever done... I'm pretty proud of it though! The guy in the blockshade is Christian Bale, the actor of the main character in the movie. There's another actor who plays the main role in the Broadway play, but I've never seen him before, soooo... that would be really creepy. Well, kind of. I didn't blockshade the teeth (that would take forever and it wouldn't even look good), so I just put that part of the original image into the blockshade. I'm a little lazy.
