Spoilers.... Clawface was trying to take Frostfur's kits. Spottedleaf Defended them, and was murdered by Clawface trying to stop him from leaving the camp. The picture is between the 1st and 2nd book. Spottedleaf just died in Firepaw's paws, and after he becomes Fireheart, He goes to a hill in the middle of the night. His heart is broken because he loved Spottedleaf, and now she's dead. He's filled with depression and rage. His emotions were all breaking free, as Spottedleaf watches him from Starclan.
