The Mystic Rose is a mathematical concept. In this rose, a predetermined number of points lie evenly spaced around the edge of a circle. A line is drawn between each point and every other point around the circle, leading to the shape you see in the project. For all those mathematically-minded people, the formula for the number of lines in any given circle is as follows: L = 0.5 P ( P - 1 ) where L is the number of lines and P is the number of points in the circle.
