Instructions

Amazing No. 1089 (the amazing number 1089) Click the Flag to get Scratch to draw the right angled triangle. It's actually a doubled sized triangle with sides of length 66 (2 x 33), 112 (2 x 56) & 130 (2 x 65) pixels. Hit Space (or click the stage) to find out more about the amazing number 1089.

Description

Created by @gregatku for use in Coding Classes for Kids Unlimited. This project was actually created for a Maths class I teach. For the Coders among you, the asin (or arcsin) function gives you the Angle if you supply it with the value of the Sine of that Angle. The Sine of the non-right angles in a right-angled triangle is the length of the side opposite the Angle divided by the length of the long side. So we want asin(33/65), but we have to turn 180 - that Angle to form it.
