I painted a study of Alice Neel's 1972 portrait of Irene Peslikis, in MS Paint instead of oil paint! Here's the result. Spacebar to veiw full speedpaint, or tap the white sidebars. Left and Right arrows to move through stages, one at a time Click to zoom in/out
Alice Neel was a 20th-century American modern painter. Her bold use of shape and color gave her portraiture work a distinctive style. Her portraits often combine a casual insight into real life with a sort of authentic uncomfortableness. She is very influential to me, so I wanted to pay tribute to her work! :) thanks to @IAteYourCookie for making one of the first speedpaints i saw on Scratch and inspiring me to make one ! :D
