Credit to @firexspotteddestiny for the lineart! Story~ Treestar looked over his clan, pride flooding throughout him. True, he was very proud that his clan was the strongest clan in the forest. He glanced down at Frosttail who was sharing a piece of prey with her mate, Leafclaw. Then he looked over to three mewling kits in the nursery being calmed down by Fireflight. Treestar smiled and shifted his gaze to where the newest apprentices, Sweetpaw and Mousepaw, were showing off their newly learned battle moves. Finally, he looked to the elders, sharing stories to some of the kits. Treestar closed his eyes and felt stronger than ever before. This was his clan. This was his life to protect. And it felt great. Suddenly, clouds rolled in and a lighting storm started. "EVACUATE THE CAMP!" he yelled. While most cats struggled to get free, others tried helping the rest get out. Treestar was one of those cats. He grabbed two kits by the scruff and raced them out of camp. He went back and helped Stoneeye, an elder, get to the tunnel leading into camp. But Treestar heard lightning. And it was close. "FASTER!" he shouted. Everyone was out of camp except for a kit and Treestar. He was drenched and all he felt was fear. Fear that he wouldn't make it in time. Fear that he would lose the life of a tiny clanmate. Fear of the clan being destroyed by lightning and rain. He got to the tunnel and threw in the kit before he went in. Treestar saw the kit scramble up with its small paws. Then the lightning came. It shocked Treestar and threw his mind off balance. In the middle of camp was an unseen shock that made fire rage through the camp. Out of fright, he jumped sideways through the barrier with the power of Starclan in his paws. Treestar walked to where his clan was sheltering in the rain and lightning. His ears rang and he fell to the ground in sleepiness. Saying the last words before he fainted, he whispered,"I saw the lightning. It was like a thousand Starclan cats dancing down. They... shocked me with surprise." Hope you enjoyed the story! I thought the song reminded me of the situation because Treestar had seen his "kingdom" get struck and destroyed by lightning. Enjoy! NO STEALING! I REALLY WORKED HARD ON THAT STORY!
