This is for my 50th follower celebration 50th follower= @Scaled04 (Try to read some of this) --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------press space to see the male version this is a partial DTA, you can draw one to have one even if the art isn't that good, I will soon be putting a flat color one in so that people can color and characterize them if they can't draw them. I will add them to the species and kingdom list. Glyphwings Appearance: they're base color is a golden color that blends mildly with savanna grass, a sandwing-like crest protrudes from part of their neck, back, tail, and underbelly. their horns art much like a prong horn's (Deer-like creature IRL) the underside of their wings has colorful iridescent patterning like a butterfly does. Each of these dragon's patterning is unique and different in both coloring and shape, from blue to red, from speckles and splotches, to shapes, and lines. Males generally have more earthy coloring, and patterning. there have been cases of melanism, and albinism. Ability's: all males and some females have fire, some males also have a long needlelike stinger at the end of their tail, that can be protruded at will, or by instinct. the males with stingers are known a drones, and are often recruited by the queen as palace guards, or soldiers. Female Glyphwings often have a power known as glyphting. Glyphting is a lot like animus magic, but doing it is much more work. To do it, the Glyphwing must imagine what it wants to happen, move their talons in a way they think represents it, and chant in a language that must be learned in carful study and practice. As they are Glyphting the patterns on their wings light up unnaturally. Glyphting takes years of practice and dedication to fully work. It can do things from moving rocks, to enchanting small objects. these spells however, slowly ware away, and must be replaced. Monarchy and info: As all tribes, Queens rule. but Glyphwings do not have a traditional challenges for the throne. The challenger must for the most part be of royal family, Or an exceptionally talented glyphter out of royalty under the age of 9. the current queen and challenger face each other from either side of a large royal arena. The two are not allowed to scratch, bite, or flame each other, they are only allowed to glypht spells, or move stones and sand with their glyphting powers. the one left alive earns the throne, and cannot be challenged for the throne, for a year. only one who can glypht with skill, and control can be queen. Glyphwings are not known by either pantala, or pyrrhia. They are hidden. Even if they aren't known by Pyrrhia, they still live there. In the heart of the Claws Of The Clouds Mountains Is a small cave entrance. It is not particularly big or noticeable, but Within... after a long winding tunnel lies a vast savanna half the size of the rainforest surrounded by tall mountainous cliff walls. Oddly it is open to the sky, but no Pyrrhian dragon can get in, or see in from above. Glyphwings may be protected, But they are also much like prisoners lacking freedom. every Glyphwing is under a curse. If they are to try and leave and cross the border to the outside world, they instantly turn to stone. The strange mountain border curse, and the huge unchartered piece of land that doesn't seem to take up space on pyrrhia are not the work of a glyphter though, but an ancient sandwing animus that in their legends was much like darkstalker (Only this one is actually dead) this sandwing's name was BrightSun. (I'll write his story later) because they live in such a small home they are running out of space. to fix that they stack their homes and buildings on top of one another. platforms are secured in front of each entryway all the way up the column of buildings. every town has an average of 20-80 columns of buildings. the royal palace has a huge castle and a town with over 200 columns in it. they build with woven savanna grass, and wood poles. they do not build entirely out of wood because there are limited trees, and most of those are in the main preyfarm. which are the main source of food because of generations of Glyphwings in a relatively limited kingdom eat most of the prey that lives naturally on the savanna. if you have any questions or ideas please share them, and I'll try to add them.
