It was snowing. Small flakes danced it the crisp, frosty air, blanketing the ground in the thick sheet whiter than a sheep's wool. Not that I minded. I stood out in the open, ignoring the biting cold. Zombies gurgled and groaned around me. I shook my speckled green head slightly. No Mob appreciated silence as much as I did. Nor did any of them know how to use it to their advantage. Suddenly, I started and scooted forward a block. Something was moving. My coal-black eyes scanned the dark spruce trees around me. There! At the base one of the leafy towers around me, Steve was lurking. He stepped out of the shade, bathing him in moonlight. Something flickered in the brightness, reflecting the stars. An iron sword. I can still take him, I comforted myself. Ducking into the shadow of a sloping hill, I sneaked behind Steve. About ten blocks away. Less, now. It was time. "Hisssssssssssssssss!" Steve whirled around, brandishing the silvery blade, a second too late. My spotted green skin grew paler by the moment. I expanded. The ground seemed to tremble beneath me and the world seemed tilt as, with another fierce hiss, I blew up. Blocks flew everywhere, dirt and wood from the spruce trees surrounding me. As the bursting sensation shot through me glimpses and pictures of what was happening flashed by my vision. A zombie made a choked, sickening sound as he was caught in the blast and toppled to the snowy ground, dead. Chunks of ice shattered from the force of the explosion, sending water pouring out of the pond and onto the shore. Several saplings rained from the branches of a crumbling spruce tree. And Steve collapsed onto the ground, his weapon and everything else he'd had; an apple, some wool, meat, tools, and clay, flew from his hands and scattered onto the snow. I had an instant to think, Victory! I won, before everything went black.
For -ColoringContests-. I don't play Minecraft much, really, even though I have it, but I know enough to write a small story and to know how a Creeper looks. :)
