Her parents discovered that she had icy powers that nobody knew about- except herself. Upset, they sent Shiver to Antarctica, where no one- even Shiver could survive. Shiver literally almost frozen to death, until she met a polar bear named Jäämägi. Jäämägi raised her as her own in a warm den. When Shiver was 16 cat years when rescuers found her. Shiver was taken to her parents afterwards, and they rejoiced. Shiver promised to use for powers for good instead of evil from then on.
