Auziri came down softly, not making any noise with her pads, as she stepped down onto some moss. ‘’ I can go hunting, you can set up camp.’’ I said picking at a scab on my claw, ‘’ All right, but you think there’s any deer around here?’’ she asked ‘’ Maybe… i’ll look.’’ I promised, and walked off. I walked over twisting tree roots and over small bushes. Then, my ears swiveled back, the sound of light, wait… bird claws AND paws? I thought and drew back my lips and crouched back into my hunting pounce. I looked around and walked gently towards the scent, I saw the antlers of a buck first, then I moved closer, my pupils turned to slits, and I leaped.The buck was all alone, my claws hit first, blood blanketed the ground, it tried to run, but I struck first with the killing blow on the neck. I had dragged the buck back to camp, Auziri was putting feathers and moss together to make our resting areas softer. She looked over, ‘’ You found a buck!’’ she said excitedly, and ran over. She helped me drag it over to the space in between were we were sleeping. As I laid down, Auziri tore into the buck, giving it no mercy. ‘’ You better leave some for me!’’ I said with a laugh in my voice. When we finished, I looked up, the stars were dancing, the moon was full, and I...felt empty. Not the type of food empty, but like there was something missing. Something missing in my life, but my young brain couldn’t wrap itself around it.
In the morning, dawn was trotting up the sky. Auziri was still asleep, her flank went up and down in a soft rhythm. Then, I realised I hadn't had water in forever. I walked out, and soon heard the rippling sound of rushing water. I walked closer to the sound, when I got to the edge of the forest, sand waited at the edge, and a large ocean of salt water awaited in front of me. I gasped at the fact that i had lived on a island. I started to run back, ‘’ Auziri!” I called, skidding to a halt at her bed, ‘’ What?” she yawned, and looked up at me sleepily, ‘’ Come with me… Now!’’ I leaped back into the forest, dogging trees, rocks, and plants until I came to the forest edge. The salt water lapped at the sand, pulling up shells. I gazed out at the seafoam coloured sea, three points reasted at the far end of the water, ‘’ The Points of Carumail…’’ a gasp in my whisper, Auziri look out too, ‘’ That's great! We just need to fly over to it!” she said excitedly, and got into a flying pose. I looked out and saw three pointed rocks in the water, that made a triangle. ‘’WAIT!” I yelled yanking her tail to the ground, ‘’What was that for!” she yelled, nipping at me. ‘’Look!’’ I pointed at the rocks with my tail,’’ that's Catirie’s Tails! Any dragon that has flown over it has never came back… And very bad storms happen there.’’ I gazed out, my eyes fixed on the rocks. ‘’The clouds are thickening over the rocks… We should look for shelter.’’ Auziri’s eyes turned to round big ovals looking out to the water. My tail swayed, ‘’ Let’s go look…” I looked up at her, she was worried,’’ Hmm?” I tilted my head, I glanced over at the rocks, clouds where winding together, almost like Plasma when he gets a tantrum, ‘’Oh no… it looks like it will make a-’’ ‘’Tornado.’’ Auziri flinched, ‘’Let’s go… now.’’ she was shaking, ‘’Um… follow me… I think I know this place.” I wrapped my tail around her and trotted back to the forest. As we were walking we had found a large hollow tree, a hole at the entrance, ‘’Uh, let’s rest in here.’’ I slumped into the hollow, Auziri followed. The wind bashed at the trees around them and thunder struck, shaking the ground. I closed my eyes for a second, thinking that a impact would happen soon, but as I inhaled, ‘’We need to get out of here!” I leaped up, thunder roaring in the skys, ‘’What! Why?” she asked, I grabbed her scruff, dug my claws into the ground and ran out of the tree. ‘’Follow me!” I called through the storm. I threw out my wings and leaped into the sky, blending into the grey clouds. The water in the fog slowed me down. Flinch! Something bit my tail. I whipped my head around, Auziri was covered in smoke. She was bleeding heavily with scorch marks all over her, ‘’Ga! Auziri!! Are you ok?!’’ I landed back onto the ground, ‘’F-fire… S-sm-smoke…’’ She was shaking heavily, ‘’I-...I tried to… to follow y-you…’’ Her burns on her pure white scales looked red, as if it would set fire again. She coughed up ashes and smoke.
