Instructions

Drosophila is the genus of true fruit flies. This one is basically the normal melanogaster. This randomizes a "family" of fruit flies, who breed and create for mutations. You can click/tap on any fly to see the mutation name. Here's a description of all of the mutations shown: Wild Type - The normal fruit fly you would see roaming your backyard. Short Winged - A fly wouldn't get this unfortunate gene unless both parents have it. These are unable to fly. Curly Winged - Unable to fly, but can hop far and high. Yellow - Causes flies to lack pigment. Similar to albinism. Ebony - Causes flies to have too much pigment. Antennapedia - This fly mutation, during development in the egg, causes EXTRA legs to grow through the head instead of antennae. Surprisingly common. Eyeless - This fly mutation, during development in the egg, causes eyes to not develop. Therefore flies with this gene are blind.

Description

Credit to www.unc.edu for the base of all of these fly drawings, I poorly added the rest, such as irregular wings, color, and antennapedia, whatever you would call that. XD I made everything else, including the fluorescent light buzz.
