trainwreck of electro swing [dtte] ♥

i think i may have a slight obsession with this song- --------------------------------------------------------------------- hey there, my doods! i decided to join this amazing contest hosted by @dragonlover379 (congrats on 600+!!) in which you have to draw a character based on a song! i chose "trainwreck of electro swing", which is a remix of the song "train rush" from the game a hat in time (i kNOW I'M OBSESSED WITH THE GAME), and here's a little explanation of why the character is drawn the way she is! since the song i chose is a remix of a swing-style song, i decided to give the character a fashion style based on the fashion around that time. her dress is based on a classic swing dress and her hairstyle is pretty much unchanged. i decided to switch it up a bit and go a little crazy with the modifications, since the song is in the ELECTRO swing category! i cut the dress in half, making a skirt and a top, and added bright, neon colours. the character also has neon rollerskates (why not?!) and a colourful choker. one last element of the drawing is the vintage pocket watch purse. in the game a hat in time, the song "train rush" plays while the player is trying to make their way through an exploding train. (seems legit, right?) anyway, i wanted to reference that, so i gave the character a pocket watch, like the conductor on that train, but i up-scaled it a little so it would fit better with the design and made it a purse! that's it! >o< (oh, and she looks kinda sassy because this song always pumps me up and fills me with sass ;w;) my canvas was cut weirdly so i wasn't able to draw a full body... sorry if it looks super odd ;O; --------------------------------------------------------------------- use space/arrow keys to see the drawing process and some inspo/reference pics!
