So i realized that the sonic 1 spring sprite doesn't have the white stripes that sonic normaly has on his shoes but the mobile remake of sonic 1 the spring sprite does have the stripes so...to me there are 2 options,1 is that they forgot to put the stripes on sonic's shoes or 2,sonic's early sprites didn't have the stripes on he's shoes and sonic was without the stripes early in development also look at that remix that crazylifegamer did below cuz there are actually some more without the stripes (insert thinking emojji)
