Hi, I'm writing a book or a comic series called paint fur. down there is some stuff about it, so that'll be fun :) Just letting you know, if it does turn out a book then there will still be lots of drawings to do with it!! :) Still thinking on what to do PLEASE tell me if you want this to be a comic or a written story!! Comics will take longer, just putting it out there
A tribe of cats live in the high mountains where few trees grow. Their fur is thick ranges from whites to browns to blacks, and they have extraordinary eye colours, even lilac and salmon pink. They live in small caves on large hillsides, and are able to squeeze through tiny spaces due to their small size. Now, this tribe has royalty as well. These cats live in the golden stone palace that spires up on the top of the hill that all the cats live on. The lower the cat is ranked, the lower down on the hill they live. All cats grow wings, though they can never really fly with them, due to the harsh winds and continuously changing wind currents. This makes the cats out of practice in flying and any cat who is able to fly be very skilled, often hunters and patrollers. The most extraordinary thing about these mountain cats is that their glowing markings. Each cat has markings different from one another. Once a cat has earned something or moved up in a position, a marking will appear in their skin and soon colour the fur it sits underneath. Each cats' pattern is the same colour of their eyes, and are all thin, intricate and well organised lines. These patterns are symbols of respect, and the more a cat has, the more respected they should be. However, no cat's fur is always crowded with patterns. the only place that one can receive them is few on the face, front legs and tail, and even less on the hind legs; their sides and back join up in these patterns, and even some on the underside of the wings. Each family ha their own small pattern that is very much like the same, but the royal family has a beautiful spiral and star pattern. They are not so close together that the fur's colour is changed completely. They are spaced out along it, so that it is more than easy to see their original fur. A cat can change it's pattern colour to it's fur colour, which is a casual look. When they are heading out to tribe meetings they must have their patterns on a dim light to respect their hosts. With hunting, cats will kill animals like small birds and little animals. They feast on fish a lot, too, for they have many rivers that run along their mountain ranges. The tribe will not kill animals bigger than themselves. These are respected animals, and they consist of different types and reletives of deer, like Wild horses, Elk, Moose, etc. Any cat that is to kill a respected animal must undergo a punishment. The tribe also have their names. If a cat is some kind of royalty, their name is a type of gemstone or a respected animal. Often the spelling and pronunciation of the name is tweaked, like Elk will become Elkk and Stag will become Stagg, though that there is only the spelling changed. The cats with high ranks below the royal family like Healers, Guards and Hunters have names that consist of plants and sometimes colours. This does not so much apply to born guards or healers, for their names are mostly sneaky hunting animals, like foxes and wolves. Only some of the other cats in the tribe have plant based names, and then they will have names of animals, (non-respected) and colours. Sometimes second words can be added onto names like Robin can become Robinhunter, but that only is applied by acceptance of the king or queen. The tribe also use natural paint like crushed rocks and dirt and ochre to decorate their caves and the halls of the palace (But there also lies embedded jewels as well). And then there are the mountain lions. Stray, single but dangerous and stealthy cats that have their dens all to themselves are scattered all over the mountain ranges. They can kill a tribe cat if they wish, and all cats must bow down to a mountain lion whenever one passes within ten tail-lengths from them. Aaaaand that's the basics of Paint Fur! I know there's a lot, but i needed it to all escape me. This may not be all; I'll probably continue to add more... I think it might be cool to start a RP of it, but first I need to do the story.
