Book 2, chapter 2 Part of the Thrushclan series ------------------------------------ Rosepaw returned from a hunting session with Snowfeather and Acornpaw. Acornpaw seemed grumpier than usual. Icepaw waited for them in camp. When he saw Rosepaw his blue eyes lit up. "Hey! Rosepaw!" Rosepaw opened her mouth to returned the greeting, but Acornpaw nudged her to look the other way. Snowfeather gave Icepaw an uneasy look. That night in the apprentices den, Icepaw wept silently to himself. He thought he was the only one awake. He heard a rustling noise from beside him and he pretended to be asleep. He opened one eye to see Acornpaw leaving the den. He waited a minute, then followed. He snuck after her as she crept along the forest and into Swiftclan territory. Icepaw was outraged but kept quiet and followed her. Acornpaw came to a halt outside Swiftclan camp, and a ginger tom emerged from the bracken. He carried a strong Swiftclan scent. Icepaw knew what was happening and he didn't want to see it, so he turned and left.
