Woah, I can't believe I'm saying this. After 8 months of planning, searching for animators, designing, putting together, re-arranging, glitches and obsession...THE SAVE OUR OCEANS MAP IS COMPLETE!! With so many similar MAPS on Scratch, I wanted to do something different, something to actually make a change. I chose the theme of saving the world's oceans after watching the final episode of 'Blue Planet 2' in February, and being utterly inspired. I can't stress how important it is for us all to protect our planet. The number of people both online and IRL who have told me that 'it doesn't matter if you litter, pollute, ignore the warnings because everyone does it' is unbelievable. These days there;s so much emphasise on self love. YOU make a difference. YOUR ACTIONS make a difference, too. Here are just a few ways YOU can make a difference: -Don't litter (keep it in pockets or a bag until a bin near) -Get a recycling bin in your bedroom (just a box for unwanted paper that can then be put in your house's recycling bin) -Organise / take part in a litter pick (or just set yourself a challenge to fill a bin bag with rubbish) -Walk / ride a bike whenever possible (or share transport such as a bus. Avoid using cars) -Turn lights off when it isn't dark outside (open the curtains ASAP) -Buy clothes from sustainable shops (and give them to charity if you don't want them any more) -Use as little plastic as possible (don't buy things with excessive packaging such as separately packages snacks and crisps -Educate others on their impacts on the world around them!!
