Here is a recording of me playing one of my favorite movie themes on the piano. I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as I enjoyed learning to play it! <3 This was created for Sound & Music Week of Scratch Camp! To learn more and participate yourself, see here: https://scratch.mit.edu/studios/5209416/
Music: I played this on my home keyboard :) The music is the main theme song from the movie "The Notebook" by Aaron Zigman. I've always found this song so beautiful and wanted to learn to play it on my own. I thought the Music Week of Scratch Camp was the perfect opportunity to finally do so! ^.^ Font: Bellindia Artwork: Backgrounds were created in Illustrator Thank you to @technoboy10 for some of the inspiration behind this project. I've always loved your project "Wind" but never really understood the pen tool or stamp well enough to attempt making my own version. So now that I've been playing around with these tools a bit more I was inspired (still, even after all this time) to try it out and I'm super excited with how it turned out! So thank you, friend <3 Fun fact: I really dislike reading sheet music while playing the piano. So every time I want to learn a new song I eventually commit it to memory and never read the sheet music again. Even when I took piano lessons, I used to pretend to be reading the sheet music for my Teacher when in reality I was just playing the song from memory lol She eventually caught on to this and stopped giving me sheet music in advance of our lessons :P Even still, my experience with this song was no different! The recording you are listening to is me playing it by memory ^.^ It took a couple tries over the course of two days to memorize and I'm so excited that I did! I love this song and can't wait to keep playing it/adding my own twists to it :) Also, on an unrelated side note, there may be a minor easter egg in the project. *boop* =^..^=
