Okay, the backstory of this character is pretty cliche, but hey, I'm literally the least creative person in this world. The story starts simple. In Arrow's world, lost souls are beings that have been murdered by another lost soul. If you become a lost soul, parts of your anatomy may change to better fit your personality, backstory, innocence, etc. You also immediately get your facial features replaced by a magical mask. The only real issue about being a lost soul is that you'll die painfully a month after you become one. (Just think Hanahaki disease) To spare yourself from this terrible death and come back to life, you have to kill your soulmate or a crush and take their soul since all lost souls have no souls, to begin with. Arrow's story starts as he is murdered by a lost soul he could not identify. As lost souls are really just legends and are believed to be fake, Arrow was at first in a state of shock about everything. He says that he never really found his soulmate or anyone he adored, although the other lost souls just laugh at him, saying that he MUST have someone. Arrow spends the day walking down the streets to try to clear his mind. It's pitch black at night when it starts raining heavily, and Arrow decides to find shelter. Searching for hours without avail, Arrow just about gives up, falling asleep under a tree or something. However, a mysterious person finds him and takes him into their house. That person turns out to be Haze, who just happened to notice Arrow. Haze, apparently not knowing about the curse of the lost souls, didn't know the risk. The two get along nicely, Arrow getting more and more anxious that he might eventually have to murder Haze. Because of this, he never tells him about the legend and avoids any talk of the future. As days go past, Arrow's mask begins to crack, and he starts to cough dust, a telltale sign that his time is almost up. He goes through the five stages of grief during those days, although finally realizing he would indeed need to kill him or perish himself... Main timeline/decision is below: In the end, Arrow murders Haze reluctantly. Haze surprisingly goes without a fight, as if he expected it all along. His last words were "You finally got your revenge", which puzzled Arrow at first. Slowly, however, it sinks in. Arrow starts to realize that Haze was the cloaked murderer who started all this madness and that his feelings were not at all onesided after all... this story is so terrible in so many ways...
