Description

So, I get a lot of people asking me to make tutorials or just simply, 'How did you do this?'. I'm not a professional artist and honestly, I'm not in a place where I can properly explain and convey how I do things. Besides, although I am happy with my current skill level, I could improve. So I'm going to recommend some great tutorials from actual professional that has helped me in the past. https://www.ctrlpaint.com/library/ Just go to that link for a goldmine of info, they have tutorials for everything and if you're a beginner or a pro, you'll learn something from them. Stan Prokopenko, he has his own website with highly detailed tutorials that you have to pay to unlock, however, he has a youtube channel with free videos that have helped me tremendously. Link to his tutorial on drawing the head from various angles: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1EPNYWeEf1U&list=PLJ5qWb7oJygtdFZ_tydfRRUXM78hoVD_u The Art of Caricature with Court Jones: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FOURPIkpPXk&list=PLtG4P3lq8RHEkeRGn6aFRct0kq4oDwwTa Drawing hands: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rJjMiXlq9ns&list=PLtG4P3lq8RHExM4hzeEW2TRZTB88wKKYf Blender Guru's videos helped me jump forward in art a ton, especially with his 'The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Artists'. He mostly works on blender, but he is also a great 2D artist. You can also learn a lot from his blender videos too. The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Artists: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flEhb1_OdcY Understanding Color https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qj1FK8n7WgY Understanding Composition https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8i7OKbWmRM He isn't always right, but art is hard to judge, the links above I agree with 100 percent. Aaaaand that's all I can think of right now. If your wondering I use: FireAlpaca for all my animations, memes and simple art. http://firealpaca.com/ Paint Tool SAI for all my detailed more high-quality art. (There is no official download site, try Softonic, make sure to have a parent download it as on that website it's very easy to click the wrong download button.) And yes, a Wacom Intuos Tablet https://www.wacom.com/en-in/products/pen-tablets/intuos Someone made this helpful 'how to download additional brushes on SAI' video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JZikc3QYF-Y
