Before being locked in Starter's Cinema in the Rejection Zone (formerly Prototype Heaven) forever, The Film Starter had a purpose: to entertain those who enter the cinema. He was created by Sarah Thompson Lily in 1999, before becoming a part of Project: Wonderland a decade later, a massive collaboration between her, Marie and 18 other engineers. The goal of the whole project is to create a huge underground, called Prototype Heaven, which is dedicated to robots. The goal she had sent to her first creation, was to entertain cinema-goers, owning his own cinema. The robot is very eager and childish. He partook in several interviews with Andy Edwardson from 2000 to 2008, which he later showed Sarah in the cinema, whenever she came to inspect on interviewing the mysterious Andy. He always takes off the top of his head, revealing the film camera on his mouth. But, due to him being built out of outdated material, Interviewer is often prone to malfunction and overheating, which had led to brown metal melting away. After being rebuilt a few times, Sarah realized on how purely dangerous The Film Starter can be when he's overheated and so, decided to put in Freezers, on his legs and right arm (his left one isn't finished). After several cases where her plan didn't work as well, she decided to deactivate him and leave him to rot, but not realizing that he can be activated again by strangers. And so, she created two Protectors to guard the slowly rotting robot and the abandoned cinema.
