After a long wait, I'm finally presenting the project I've been working on for so long - Brave MAP Part 11! Instruction: This is an animation, so click the green flag and watch. :) Notes~ I worked pretty hard on this to make this look good. Though it didn't turn out that good, I guess it's okay :P I animated this using symbols - I mean, everything I showed or used has a certain interpretation. I was inspired to do this by @EllaPHNT's Headphones MAP parts. (Thanks, Ella ^^) You can interpret my part as you wish. In fact, I'd love to know what you think! Scroll below to find my interpretation. Time taken: Around a week, working 30 minutes to 1 hour a day (sorry, guys, I'm a slow worker :P) Music: Brave by Sara Bareilles Art & Animation: Scratch Vector Special thanks to @EllaPHNT for inspiration, and @-BW-GamerGirl for hosting the MAP ^^ Here goes my interpretation: Synopsis: The boy is afraid, but he finally finds the courage and lets it all out. As he becomes brave, the dark walls of fear, insecurity - everything fell apart. He finds the light in the end. 1. The hair on the forehead symbolises fear and insecurity. 2. We are afraid to speak out. His fist shows this - he is trying to resist speaking up in fear. 3. The black lines in the walls resemble fear, panic, anxiety. 4. The light things (or whatever that came out from him o.o) are not superpowers XD It shows that he finally lets everything out. He becomes brave making his walls of fears and anxiety break down. 5. He finally becomes free. 6. Notice how I didn't show the sun or a great light source even though he broke his cage of negative feelings. It's because even though we become brave, it takes a little bit more time for everything to be back to normal. We get hope - the stars in the night sky resemble hope here. 7. Another idea of the night sky is: dark is not always negative - at least not to me. The night sky has its own beauty. 8. The shooting star resembles his hope of his wishes being fulfilled. Thanks for watching! ^^ Follow me for more :) <3
