NOTE - IF YOU COLOR TOO VIGOROUSLY IT WON'T WORK. DRAW SLOWLY AND WITH PRECISION. Controls - Use the mouse! In the color-Picker, press Space when you have chosen your color. Gradient Up/Down is just a quick way to change Brightness, so you don't always have to use the color picker. Darks, Mediums, Lights, and Whites are all different shades of your color. Scratch lacks a good way to change Brightness. Use these to achieve a full spectrum of colour. If your pencil is not drawing, chances are you are using the eraser. If the color is always black and you cannot change it, chances are the brightness is set to -100 (Black).
IMPORTANT-To save your work: [Windows] press Print Screen. Its is on the top row of your keyboard after F12. [Mac] Press command shift 3 or command shift 4. Then open any image editor and do edit-Paste. then crop your work out.
