USE TURBO MODE!!!!!!!!! (hold shift while clicking the flag) Press the flag. A random pyramid will appear. Pull the start/stop slider and the population pyramid will change by 5 years every second. The numbers at the start of each level is the age group and the number of 0's is the population, e.g. 30-40 0000000000 means that there are 10 people from 30-40 years. WAP means Working Age Population (the working age in this project is 15-65). The people in the WAP will raise money for the government which is used to stop people dying, AKA lower WAP means more people die. A higher mortality rate (more deaths) will then encourage a higher fertility rate (more babies) to replenish the population, AKA lower WAP means more babies made.
Inspired from my year 8 geography class, where we learnt about population pyramids. Unfortunately it always appears to settle in to the shape that represents developing countries, which is not exactly realistic because there are many developed countries around the world too, but it was the best I could do.
