This little fella can't move without protection because it's afraid. The basket is produced by an unknown material which is really bouncy and makes this sound when hit hard enough. It can hover to make a growling sound because the basket is half-gravitational and it freaks out when it doesn't know what to do. The metal eye is the monster itself and can activate their magnet whenever they want, so they can pull out the inside covering.
