They control them, and eat other humans to survive. A boy named Shinichi gets infected by a Parasyte, but the parasyte wasn't able to control his brain, and therefore he just stuck there in his arm. Parasytes can not develop much emotions (Such as sympathy or guilt). The only emotion they feel is the need to survive. Shinichi named his parasyte Migi, and the 2 become unexpected allies, and they fight off other parasytes. Migi develops an attachment to Shinichi after a while... ──────────────── ❥ The anime itself seems very gruesome, but it has a very deep meaning to it. Its honestly such a good anime, and if you think Tokyo ghoul is good then you clearly haven't watched Parasyte. I highly recommend it, 10/10.
