Use the mouse to nav. the main menu, and arrow keys for the text sections! (Space to return to menu) (yes there is my art in here, kind of a lot actually but you need to read through the information to see it!) Just a note about the drawings where Moza has her hair out: according to the creator of the series, Moza is a dedicated hijabi so she wouldn't plausibly go out in public without her scarf in-universe. So just imagine that she's at home with her mom or that this is an alternate universe :p Also please understand that Emara is by no means a complete representation, each person has their own concept of identity and culture and this show doesn't encompass all of those viewpoints, it's just a jumping-off point to start learning! This is my entry to Jeila's Culture Contest! I thought I should share a cool new cartoon, Emara: Emirates Hero and demonstrate its ability to teach people about the culture from which it came. Now more than ever, I believe it is important for non-white creators to be able to represent themselves in entertainment and the media so that we can begin breaking down harmful stereotypes developed by Hollywood and racism (of course). The same goes for non-heteronormative creators as well (though that doesn't apply in Emara). (The creator did make a gay pairing canon tho which was cool even though it really was random - like the two characters don't even meet in the show kind of random) Emara: Emirates Hero is an Arabic web cartoon produced by Eating Stars Studios and directed by Fatma Almheiri. It's set in the United Arab Emirates and centers on superpowered Emara (Moza by day), who spends much of her time fighting crime in the streets of Dubai. Season 1 focuses on a main conflict in which Emara has been targeted by a mysterious figure named Solomon... and so on. Fun Stuff section is still incomplete, it's not really part of the contest though, it's more of just a place to put more Emara related things without needing to make a new project. I won't be able to draw on my computer for a while, so I figured I better just share the main part of the project now :) God in some of the project text why did i repeat the phrase "now is a good time" twice within a few sentences of each other... and put "also" twice in a single sentence...

Contest Host: @Jeila Want to watch the cartoon? Link to season 1 here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ytnzJjEyAM&list=PLuX-6NTd75gPCnpL5Ok46UVQbgwSip99H (warning for cartoon violence + peril, presence of guns) I really recommend it :D Music: EMARA OP 1 (from the cartoon) EMARA ED 1 (from the cartoon) Meiko Nakahara - "Dance In The Memories" Anri - "Remember Summer Days" First 2 are Arabic, second 2 are Japanese Images: Screenshots and model sheets - Eating Stars Studio (from cartoon Emara) Background - stolen from the internet (via Google) (of Dubai) (edited by me) Anything else - me (all those drawings without backgrounds and the handwritten labels) Coding: @Jeila - mouse trail me - everything else ;w; Research came from a variety of internet sources and the cartoon Emara itself. I'm not 100% sure of its accuracy but I tried to use common sense...
